Randy Johnston is one of the most widely recorded and prolific guitarists, vocalists, and performers of his generation. He has released 14 albums as a leader for the Small World, Muse, Highnote, J Curve, Mel Bay, and Random Act labels and has appeared on dozens of recordings with other top recording artists. He has travelled the world playing at venues on 5 different continents and over 50 countries which include Carnagie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, The Tokyo Jazz Festival in Japan and countless others. In addition to his solo career, Randy has toured and played with some of the most acclaimed artists in jazz and rock, including Lionel Hampton, Houston Person and Etta Jones, Lonnie Smith, and Joey DeFrancesco, and The Allman Brothers Band. Dr. Longineu Parsons II, a world-class trumpeter, has performed and recorded with an impressive list of music greats including Nat Adderley, Cab Calloway, Frank Foster, Billy Harper, Philly Joe Jones, Herbie Mann, David Murray, Sam Rivers, Cecil Taylor, Joe Williams, Nancy Wilson, and others. He is a is Professor of Music at Florida A&M University and is President of Tribal Disorder Records. Growing up in Jacksonville, Florida, Parsons instinctively plays the blues as a native language.
